India, Pak Armies trade gunfire along LoC in Kupwara’s Tangdhar sector

Kupwara, Nov 16: The Armies of India and Pakistan Monday evening exchanged gunfire close to the fence at the Tangdhar sector in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Defense spokesman in Srinagar, Colonel Rajesh Kalia, said that Pakistan this evening restored to unprovoked ceasefire violation along the line of control (LoC) at Tangdahr sector in Kupwara district.
He said that Pakistan this evening fired mortars and other weapons, adding that the befitting reply is being given.
The exchange of gunfire close to the line of control comes days after the northern belt in Kashmir witnessed the killing of 10 including the civilians and armed forces that left nearly 20 injured.
Meanwhile, a top police official said that there were no immediate reports about any damage or injury from either side. However, the situation is being closely monitored.
