Police seizes 04 vehicles, arrests 04 persons in Baramulla

July 04: Acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, police have seized 04 vehicles and arrested 04 persons in Baramulla.A police party led by SHO PS Baramulla under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla Shri Altaf-JKPS seized 4 Tippers and arrested 4 drivers at Chakloo Baramulla for their involvement in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals. The accused drivers have been identified as Ab Majeed Lone son of Mohd Ramzan Lone resident of Zenipora Bomai Sopore, Shabir Ahmad Dar son of Gh Nabi Dar resident of Jal Sheeri, Gh Nabi Khan son of Jameel Ahmad Khan resident of Khanpora Baramulla & Mushtaq Ahmad Lone son of Gh Ahmad Lone resident of Khawajabagh Baramulla.Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Baramulla and investigation set into motion.Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units.
