IED blast in Awantipora: No loss of life reported
An Improvised explosive device( IED)went off in Awantipora area of south Kashmir Pulwama district on Saturday, barely 4 km from the February 14 Pulwama attack spot where more than 40 CRPF troopers lost their lives.
No life was lost in the 3 a.m. explosion though that rocked the Amlar village. But window panes of houses were shattered,three house damaged , and a large crater was created at the blast site, the police said.
Soon after the attack, additional forces were rushed to the spot and a combing operation was launched to nab the militants, the official said.
