”I want every Kashmiri to adopt ‘Sufism’ and ‘Kashmiri language’,says Sufi mystic and poet Nadeem Altaf

Tral, 9 October: Nadeem Altaf, a poet and author from Tral sub district of Southern Kashmir has been taking the legacy of his grandfather forward by promoting ‘Sufism’ besides ‘Kashmiri language’ through his writings.
Resident of Satoora village in Aripal tehsil of Tral sub district, Nadeem Altaf is the grandson of famous Kashmiri poet Late. Rajab Hamid, whose Kashmiri poem titled as “Afsoos Duniya” is still famous, this beautiful song is heard and loved by most of us.
Nadeem Altaf has authored a book as well, which is titled as “Morifatuk Jam”, written in Kashmir language, based on Sufism and its aspects.
Talking to Arising State Correspondent, Nadeem Altaf said that he wants to give message to his people through his poems. To feel the importance of sufism one must adopt it .while Kashmiri language should be give priority, as it is our mother tongue.”
He further said, “Sufism was on verge of decline before 2004, but internet era has revived it. With increased interest among youth towards sufism has revived its survival chances .Sufism can act as a medium of solution to most of our problems. Many young people come to me to know about sufism and youth is the medium of its transmission.”
Nadeem Altaf while remembering his grandfather , Rajab Hamid ,said , “his followers are everywhere in Kashmir, as he had influenced them through his teachings.”
Nadeem Altaf’s sole motto is to spread Sufism and promote Kashmiri language as far as possible.
