Handwara Police, Health and Municipal Committee Jointly Organize Covid-19 Awareness Rally in Handwara
District Police Handwara, along with DH Handwara and MC Handwara on Saturday carried out a Covid-19 awareness rally and impressed upon locals to combat this pandemic together.
According to reports, an awareness rally was organized under the leadership of SP Handwara Dr. G V Sandeep in which people across the town were urged to take utmost precautions while carrying out daily affairs and resolved that the fight against the pandemic will be overpowered with joint efforts.
SP Handwara while talking to media personnel requested the general public to follow SOPs issued by the administration in order to keep the disease away. He added the pandemic can be defeated with joint efforts and sought people’s cooperation in this regard.
He, at the occasion, warned violators if they will not mend their ways, they will be dealt sternly and appealed people to maintain social distancing for containment of the virus.
“Those whosoever will be found involved in violating SOPs will be fined”, SP said.
He also paid tributes to officials from administration, police, and municipal committee who put their services available in tough times for the wellbeing of the community.
Notably, after the surge in Covid-19 caseloads in Valley and subsequent deaths divisional administration Kashmir on Wednesday announced six-day lockdown which will end on July 27.
Meanwhile, Deputy Superintendent DH Handwara Dr. Aijaz also appealed to the people to follow the SOPs strictly and wear face masks and wash hands regularly.
