GDC Tral Celebrates Teachers’ Day

Pulwama: Debates,Seminars and Cultural Committee of the college organised a day long program in the conference hall of the college under the able guidance of the Principal of the college Dr.Mushtaq Ahmad Malik to celebrate Teachers’ Day on 5th September2023.

The program commenced by the introductory speech about the importance of celebrating Teachers’ Day by Dr.Hilal Ahmad Wani. It was followed by the inaugural address by Dr.Shakeel Ahmad Khanday Head Department of Physics who talked about the invaluable contribution of some great teachers.

Staff Secretary, Dr.Arshid Ahmad Malik in his brief address also highlighted the role of teachings of sufi saints and poets for the betterment of life here and hereafter.

Prof.Ishaq Ahmad Wani, Head Department of English and Prof.Syeda Laila Khalid in their respective speeches elaborated upon the various parameters of ideal teachers and the role of teachers in the era of web learning and blogging.

Students from various semesters delivered beautiful speeches in which they expressed gratitude for their teachers.

They also played a role play game with teachers which added great fun to the program.Vote of Thanks was delivered Dr.Reyaz Ahmad Bhat and whole program was moderated by Dr.Hilal Ahmad Wani.
