Five-Day Special Training Programme on Investigation of NDPS Cases Concludes at DPO Budgam
Budgam, 03 Oct : A five-day special training programme on the investigation of NDPS cases concluded today at District Police Office (DPO) Budgam. The programme, held from 29th September to 3rd October 2025, was organized under the guidance of SSP Budgam, Shri Nikhil Borkar (IPS).
The training was aimed at sensitising and equipping Investigating Officers with advanced skills and knowledge pertaining to the investigation of cases under the NDPS Act. Police officers from all establishments of District Budgam, including PSIs and Readers engaged in NDPS investigations, actively participated in the programme.
The sessions were conducted by Shri Dar Rashid, Senior Prosecuting Officer, DPO Budgam. Participants were apprised of the procedural requirements under the NDPS Act and were given detailed briefings on landmark judgments of the Hon’ble Supreme Court relating to NDPS cases.
The training also focused on techniques of financial and technical investigation in narcotics cases. Special emphasis was laid on provisions of the PIT NDPS Act and on the preparation and compilation of dossiers.
The programme concluded with the reiteration of Budgam Police’s commitment to strengthening the professional competence of its officers in handling narcotics-related cases with greater efficiency and legal precision.
