FIT INDIA MOVEMENT’;ARMY SPONSORED TREKKING EXPEDITION FLAGGED-IN
BATOTE, OCTOBER 3: Inspired by the Prime Minister Narender Modi’s nationwide ongoing mission “‘Fit India Movement’,the Army-sponsored a two-day Batote-Sankhpal Trekking Expedition “Jawan Aur Awam,Aman Hai Muqaam’ of local youth of Batote under operation Sadbhavna..
This team was flagged -in at the Government Model Higher Secondary School, Batote today jointly by the Chairman, Municipal Committee, Batote, Ravinder Singh and Principal,Swarn Singh.
The team comprising of 12 youth of Batote including two guides -a Guard of Forest Protection Force,J-9 Gama Unit, Batote and another Forest Guard of Forest Division , Batote had trekked about 100 Km -50Km a side, between Batote and Shankhpal temple peak above Sanasar.The team had camped at the Shakhpal peak for a night.
The Army had provided the team all materialistic and logistical support under its mission of winning hearts and minds of local public.
The participants were profusely thankful to the Army for this encouragement and noble gesture and expected for similar support in future also,Irfan majid
The trekking team included Irfan Majid,Danish Majid, Aryan Raina, Arjun Singh,Mohammed Aqib,Aditya Sharma,Shakeel Ahmed of Forest Division, Batote,,Gurnam Singh of Forest Protection Force J-9 Gama Unit,Batote,Arif Parrey,Ajay Kumar and Kamran.
According to the Army officers,the aim of this expedition was to promote not only interest for fitness, endurance,love for nature and drug abstention but also better understanding and mutual faith between Army and public.
