Fake sim card racket busted in Baramulla, three accused arrested: Police

Baramulla, Nov 15 : The Jammu and Kashmir police on Monday claimed to busted a fake sim card racket by arresting three persons in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

An official said that the Police in Baramulla busted a fake sim card racket who were issuing fake sim cards after managing forged documents.

He said that three accused persons namely Owais Farooq Waza son of Farooq Ahmad Waza, Suhail Aziz Mir son of Abdul Aziz and Javid Ahmad Kanjwal son of Abdul Ahad-all residents of Baramulla were arrested in the instant case.

The official also said that some incriminating material which includes mobile phones along with sim cards, electronic gadgets and documents have been recovered from their possession.

He said that a case under sections of UA (P) Act and IPC has been registered against them in Police Station Baramulla and further investigation has been initiated.
