Explosion inside bus at Jammu bus stand, 18 injured

An explosion has taken place inside a bus at a bus station in Jammu.

As many as 18 people were injured in a grenade attack at a bus stand in Jammu on Thursday, 7 March, confirmed MK Sinha, IGP Jammu.

One person is critical, reported ANI. All injured have been shifted to the Government Medical College (GMC) hospital nearby. The police also said that the grenade was lobbed from outside the bus station, which then rolled under one of the buses parked there.

Windscreens of state road transport corporation (SRTC) buses parked in the vicinity of the blast were also damaged, a police official said.

An eyewitness present at the spot told ANI: “(Initially) I thought a tyre had burst… but it was a big blast. The locals took the injured to the hospital in an ambulance.
