Encounter breaks out in Anantnag: Police

Srinagar, Dec 25 : An encounter broke out in Srigufwara area of Anantnag district between security forces and militants late Saturday evening, police said here.

An official said  that encounter broke out in K Kalan area of Srigufwara, following inputs about the presence of militants.

He said that police and security forces were on the job, while further details will be shared accordingly.

Notably, this is the third encounter in a day in South Kashmir, as earlier today four militants were killed in twin encounters in Chowgam and Tral villages of Shopian and Pulwama district respectively.
