Elderly Jammu resident dies of COVID-19, Death toll mounts to 306 in J&K

A 75-year-old man who had tested COVID-19 positive died on Sunday in Jammu, taking the number of people who died due to the novel coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir to 306.

An official said the deceased was a resident of Gadigarh Jammu. He was admitted to the isolation ward of CD hospital in Jammu on 24 July where he was shifted to GMC Jammu.

However, he was declared dead on arrival at 1 am today at the facility following which his body was shifted to the mini-mortuary.

Eight people died due to the virus on Saturday, taking the death toll to 305. With today’s death, the toll has mounted to 306.
