Education scenario in Govt Schools in Kargil changing

Volunteers reaching government schools to share their experience

Jammu: From the last two or three years the Education Scenario in Kargil Particularly in Government-Run Schools are improving and people are Turing towards the Government School and are coming together to adopt their respective schools in villages. We have many results of Pilot Schools such as Lankore, Biathang, Karith etc, which doing at par with some of the best Private Schools in Kargil Ladakh. On the other hand, despite very little response from the villager’s schools in villages like Kaksar, Baroo etc some of the best teachers have come forward and tried to change the education scenario. In these schools, some of their teachers have approached to volunteers, travellers etc to spend some time at their school and spent their time with the students of these far-flung areas and give something which they have learned in their lives.

Recently on the 6th of July Vijay from California USA arrived at Government High School Baroo who was arranged and coordinated by Shikha Tikoo On Himalayan travel group on Social Media Network Facebook.Vijay is an English teacher and is also a traveler, will be spending his 15 days in Government High School Baroo.

Shikha Tikoo who has spend her precious more than 8 years in Kargil and studied in Kargil, is trying her best to contact with schools in Ladakh who needs volunteers and informing volunteers all over the world and bringing them to these schools. Vijay has been approached by Shikha Tickoo and the teachers and students of the schools are very excited to have Vijay here in Kargil.The School Teachers have expressed their thanks to Shikha Tikoo and Himalayan Travel Group for coordinating these volunteers.
