DSEJ Revises School Timings for Summer and Winter Zones in Jammu Division

Jammu, Sept 30: The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) on Tuesday issued a fresh order regarding the change in school timings for both Government and recognized Private schools across the Jammu division.

As per Order No. 368-DSEJ of 2025, which is in possession of Kashmir Honour News (KHN), all schools falling under the Summer Zone of Jammu division will function from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for the month of October 2025. However, from November 1, 2025, the timings will change to 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, except for institutions located within the limits of the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) and surrounding urban areas, where schools will continue with the 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM schedule.

For the Winter Zone of Jammu division, the new timings will come into effect from October 1, 2025, with schools directed to function from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

The order further warns that any deviation from the notified schedule will invite strict action against the concerned institutions under rules in vogue.
