Drug peddler arrested in Tral; Cannabis recovered 

Awantipora 20 Feb: Acting tough against the drug peddlers, Awantipora Police arrested one drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.

An official said that Police party of Police Station Tral on Naka duty arrested one drug peddler when the arrested person was moving in a suspicious circumstances at Batagund Crossing Tral.

He said that the arrested drug peddler has been identified as: Bashir Ahmad Dar S/O Mohammad Subhan Dar R/O Larow Jagir Tral

“02 Kgs of contraband substances grinded Cannabis was recovered from the possession of arrested persons.”

A case vide FIR number 10/2021 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Tral.

Police said community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood, and assured persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt strictly as per law.
