Drug peddler arrested in Awantipora

Awantipora: Continuing its drive against drug peddlers, Awantipora Police arrested a drug peddler from Kawanni area of Reshipora in Awantipora.

The arrested drug peddler has been identified as Manzoor Ahmad Rather, son of Abdul Satar Rather, a resident of Chandhara Pampore.

An official has said that 5.50 kgs of grinded cannabis powder was recovered from the possession of the arrested person.

He said that a case FIR Number 204/2020 under relevant sections of NDPS act stands registered at Police Station Awantipora.

“Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt strictly under law,” official said.
