Domana Police solves theft case, recovers 07 Tola Gold worth Rs 3,15,000 and cash Rs 5,000

Domana Police today solved a theft case by arresting accused persons involved in the commission of the crime and recovered the stolen property. The police said that on 28th of February, 2021 Police Station Domana received a written complaint from a BSF constable namely Priyanka Sharma W/o Rahul Sharma R/o Hiranagar Kathua A/P BSF Camp Paloura Jammu endorsed by Dy. Commandant BSF 98 Battalion Paloura Jammu wherein she stated that one Gold MangalSutra (05 tola), one Gold Chain (02 Tola) and cash of Rs 5000 is stolen from her official residence located at BSF Camp Paloura.Accordingly, a case FIR No. 62/2021 under sections 454/380 IPC was registered at Police Station Domana and an investigation was taken up. During the investigation, police said that No. of  suspected persons were held and questioned thoroughly.Domana Police detained/arrested one person namely Pavneet Singh S/o Narinder Singh R/o Chatha Farm Satwari Jammu who confessed his involvement along with his relative Balwinder Kour W/o Lt. Kulwant Singh R/o Baba Ajit Singh Nagar Upper Gadigarh Jammu. On his disclosure domana police recovered all the stolen property worth Rs 3,20,000.The whole operation was conducted by SHO Domana Insp. Mahesh Sharma and his team under the supervision of SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul (KPS) and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma and overall supervision of SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
