Div Com reviews developmental scenario in Udhampur, Poonch Districts

Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma today held a video conference meeting with the Deputy Commissioners of Udhampur and Poonch to review the progress on various developmental works, the status of languishing projects and implementation of various schemes, progress of works taken up under MGNREGA in the twin districts.

The Divisional Commissioner sought the status report of MGNREGA works in the Districts and the Deputy Commissioners apprised him of the progress made so far.

The DC Udhampur informed that a total of 3431 works have been taken up in the District under MGNREGA in the year 2020-21, of which 514 stand completed, while work on 2959 works is in progress.

He further informed that against 23 projects sanctioned under the languishing scheme, work on 22 projects was taken up and 8 have been completed.

The Div Com asked DC Udhampur to expedite the pace of work on languishing projects for their timely completion and formulate a month-wise completion plan of different components of each project.

The Div Com also reviewed the implementation of PMAY and was informed that 1805 houses have been completed in Udhampur in the last three years.

The Div Com also reviewed adhar linkage of accounts of the beneficiaries of various welfare schemes.

The Deputy Commissioner Poonch also apprised the Div Com about the progress of work on various development works in the District.
