District child protection unit convenes one-day training workshop in Anantnag

Anantnag,28 December: District Child Protection Unit Anantnag convened one Day Training Workshop for Village Level Child Protection Committees on 28th of December 2020 regarding the Juvenile Justice Act and POCSO.
This training series was sponsored by UNICEF, in this regard resource persons at various levels imparted training to VLCPCs of District Anantnag.
While speaking on the occasion Juvenile Justice Board member Mr. Sajad Ah Rather welcomed the VLCPC members/ participants and further gave the detailed overview of the JJ Act and Systems also enlighten the VLCPCs members regarding their role and responsibilities on the ground for the welfare of children on behalf of Child Protection Services, Anantnag.
Researcher Mr. Rao Farman Ali expressed the abstract overview of POCSO 2012 and also made VLCPCs members aware of social evils and their curbing solutions in order to protect children in day to day life.
Personnel’s from JJB and DCPU which include Mr. Sajad Ah Rather (JJB member), Mr. Syed Salman Umer (PO-IC), Mr. Sajad Ah Hakeem (PO-NIC), Ms. Anjuman Ayoub (Counselor), and Ms. Burhana Rasheed (ORW) were present in the training session to make it possible to attain the Moto of the training effectively for the Welfare of the children and made the communication fruitful and positive with the VLCPCs members regarding the awareness and motives of the Department.
A vote of thanks was also delivered by Ms. Anjuman Ayoub (Counselor) in which she thanked the participants in general and members from VLCPCs Anantnag for their active participation in the one Day Training Programme. Whereas, this training will be continued for further two days with different VLCPCs from the District.
