District Capex Budget will be a game changer for J&K: Kavinder
Jammu: Current fiscal’s district capex budget which is more than double from the one sanctioned last year will prove to be a game changer for the people of J&K as the whooping allocation of over Rs 12000 crore will pave the way for equitable development of all regions of the UT.This was stated by the senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta while addressing a small gathering here at Ward No. 52, Ambedkar Nagar, where he has gone in connection with ISM Ayush medical camp.
The BJP stalwart also distributed medicines among the visitors of the camp and held a brief interaction. He said that LG’s administration is rendering yeoman’s service and the days are not far when the UT will be transformed into a model unit having no match in the country. He said that the announcement of such a gigantic amount for Capex Budget itself is the testimony to the fact that sooner than later the socio-economic status of the people in J&K will get a major push and all the sectors including employment, healthcare, rural infrastructure and education will see the sea change and the life of people will become as per their aspirations.
Kavinder Gupta hailed the endeavours of LG Sinha and the central dispensation led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking extra care of the UT of J&K and treading steadfast to ensure peace and progress by making development as the main plank. He said that the government has envisaged an all-round development model for the UT by allotting huge funds and involving Panchayats, BDCs and DDCs in the development process.“By making sure that these elected PRIs become part and parcel of the development stride of the government one thing is sure that the scope of discrimination will get completely eliminated and one and all will enjoy the fruits of democracy unlike earlier instances when the government funds were brazenly siphoned by the dynasts who ruled the erstwhile J&K State”, he said adding that people should now act as ears and eyes of the government to ensure that money meant for development should be utilized for the purpose it has been sanctioned and the delinquents stay away from the same. Vinay Gupta District President also spoke on the occasion and urged people to avail maximum benefits of the welfare schemes launched by the BJP Government at the Centre and the UT’s Administration.
Others who accompanied the senior BJP functionary include Ajay Gupta Corporator, Nitin Thappa Ward President, Ajay Baddan, Narender Gupta Koki, Vikas, Pawan Gupta, Sayam Gupta and Deepu.
Later, Kavinder Gupta visited Preet Nagar and Trikuta Nagar (Extension) and held interaction with the residents about their problems and demands. After getting a brief input about the problems of the people, he assured them an early redressal. He said that he will approach the concerned quarters in the administration and will mitigate the genuine problems including civic and sanitation. He said that unlike earlier governments, the BJP government at the Centre is people-centric and it has given standing instructions to ensure public welfare keeping in mind that the public is the first priority of the government.
