Director Agriculture Jammu chairs review meeting with sectoral heads

JAMMU, AUGUST 6: Director Agriculture Jammu, Anil Gupta, today chaired an introductory cum review meeting with all sectoral heads of the Directorate at the Conference Hall, Krishi Bhawan, Talab Tillo. The meeting aimed to gather insights into departmental functioning, review ongoing activities and strategies the effective implementation of agricultural initiatives across Jammu division.

The meeting was attended by Joint Director Agriculture (Extension) and Additional Mission Director HADP Satish Sharma; Joint Director Agriculture (Inputs) Dr Ashwani Sharma; Joint Director SLUB S Sohan Singh; sectoral heads and staff of the Directorate of Agriculture Jammu.

Addressing the officers, Anil Gupta stressed the importance of a proactive, transparent and accountable approach to departmental functioning. He emphasised timely implementation of schemes and close inter-departmental coordination to ensure effective service delivery to farmers.

Reviewing sector-wise performance, the Director called for stronger field-level monitoring, real-time reporting mechanisms and optimal resource utilisation under Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) and the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP). He urged intensified outreach through regular field visits, awareness camps and prompt grievance redressal.

Anil Gupta also directed officers to adopt digital tools for improved efficiency, promote convergence with allied departments and uphold the principles of good governance in agricultural administration.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to enhance agricultural growth and sustainability in Jammu through collaborative and focused efforts.
