DGP Extends Gratitude to LG, Union Home Secy Others for ‘Compassionate Appointment’ of NOKs of 40 Police Personnel

Srinagar, Nov 3 : Director General of Police Jammu and Kashmir Dilbagh Singh Wednesday thanked Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha among several others for issuing ‘compassionate appointment’ orders in favour of forty next-of_kin(s) of deceased police personnel.

The DGP thanked Union Home Secretary A.K Bhalla,Chief Secretary Dr A.K.Mehta, Principal Secretary Home Shaleen Kabra and other officers of MHA and Home department for issuing the appointment orders in respect of next of kin(s) of deceased police personnel in different Union Territory departments.

The DGP said that issuing these orders would give much needed financial relief to the families who have lost their caretakers while protecting and safeguarding the sovereignity and integrity of nation and also interests of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

He further said that the appointments would serve as a Diwali gift for these families.(GNS)
