Tral, 16 October: The villagers of Arigam in Tral ,area of South Kashmir are dealing with a severe water crisis. The shortage of water has compelled them to drink contaminated water from a local tank .
The villagers said that they have been drinking contaminated water from past many years and no authorities have come to check on them. The residents said that new water supply scheme was alloted to the village, but it has not brought any relief to the people of Arigam as the scheme is yet to be launched. The villagers are struggling for clean water, the condition of tank from which the village receives water supply is in a poor state of hygiene ,said one of the residents.
