No Ceasefire Yet: Iran Denies Truce as Attacks on Israel Intensify

Israeli media have reported that at least three people were killed in the southern city of Beersheba, as Iran continues to launch waves of missiles targeting locations across Israel. The Israeli military confirmed ongoing attacks from Tehran.

This escalation follows a statement by U.S. President Donald Trump, who claimed that Israel and Iran had agreed to a truce, describing it as the end of a “12-day war.”

However, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi denied that any ceasefire agreement had been reached. He stated that Iran would stop its attacks only if Israel ceased its “illegal aggression” by 4 a.m. local time (00:30 GMT). Israel has not yet issued a public response to Iran’s position.

Earlier, Iran launched missiles at a U.S. military base in Qatar, which houses American forces, in direct retaliation for the U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities conducted on Sunday.

Since Israel began its military offensive on June 13, Iran claims over 400 people have been killed, including 13 children, and more than 3,056 others wounded. On the Israeli side, at least 24 people have reportedly been killed in Iranian retaliatory strikes.
