DC Pulwama visits far flung areas, oversees restoration operations

Pulwama, Jan 07: In continuation to his visits to far off areas of the district, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr. Raghav Langer on Thursday visited the farthest areas of Sangerwani and Shadimarg to assess restoration of power supply and healthcare facilities besides availability of essential commodities.

While reviewing the post snow fall situation and the availability of essential commodities in the area, the DC was informed that there is a sufficient stock of essential commodities available in these areas including LPG, ration, vegetables and other essentials.

He directed Tehsildar, officials of R&B, Jal Shakti, PDD and other officers from line departments to remain stationed at their locations and ensure prompt delivery of essential items and services to the public and address emergency demands with utmost preparedness.

He also directed AC Legal Metrology, AD, FCS&CA, FSO’s to conduct regular market checking and prevent arbitrary rise in prices and illegal stocking.

Later, the DC visited Receiving Station Shadimarg, met scores of people in Qasabayar and took on spot appraisal of availability of stock, functioning of CHC, Rajpora.
