DC Pulwama holds Press Conference, appeals people to stick to COVID SOPs

Pulwama 18 May: The Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Baseer-ul-Haq Choudhary on Tuesday briefed the media about situation of Covid 19 in the district.

On the occassion, DC said that the recovery rate of Covid positive patients in the district is improving while the death rate has also declined.

“Imposing restrictions, lockdown and corona curfew is not to hurt the people, transporters or business community, but our aim is to save precious lives of people,” he said.

He further said that more vigilance is needed in the next ten days which are crucial to get rid of this epidemic.

DC said that there are 2800 positive cases in the district while the recovery rate has increased to 80% in previous days.

He reiterated that Administration has enhanced infrastructure with better healthcare facilities in the District to save the lives of people.

He appealed people for the cooperation and urged for sticking to the precautionary measures for containment of the disease.

He advised people to strictly follow the SOPs and guidelines issued by the administration so that spread of this disease is curtailed.
