Jammu: While protesting, lambasting, and showing anguish the Youth activists of NCP alleged the Union Ministry of Transport and Roadways Showed a serious concern on the pathetic drama of the government while announcing the applicability of Toll plaza at Lakhanpur a fresh. Rishi Kaul Kilam National Joint Secretary and Spokesperson Youth wing of NCP said that toll plaza at lakhanpur which was abolished earlier has been made active again putting the people to walls and people have to bear a heavy burden by way of taxes which will increase the prices also and will be a burden on the tourists. Recently the minister of roadways announced the waiver of Toll taxes and on the other hand, it is surprising and ironic that it has been implemented again at the cost of the poor people especially during the unfavourable circumstances in the country. Rishi added that perhaps this is the sign of a shattered economy on the part of the government. Kilam said that one year before a toll plaza was started at Sarore and it is surprising that one more toll plaza at a small distance has come up.
Rishi feels sorry to say that nothing constructive measures are expected from the present Central government. Kilam said that the establishment of this unwanted Toll plaza by National Highway Authority of India is counterproductive and a mockery. This step will create problems and harassment for the people of Jammu as a whole. The student and Youth Community will be the first victims of this wrong step. The people of Jammu will be over burdened with taxes will have to think twice for crossing the plaza. Rishi while showing strong resentment and dismay said that BJP Jammu unit has given a gift to the people of Jammu as they have previously failed to solve the problems of the Jammu people. The Youth wing of NCP appealed the union minister for surface Transport to scrap this unwanted decision in the interest of general people.
