CIK recovers heroin worth crores from two Uri residents in Srinagar hotel
‘Duo arrested, further investigation going on’
Srinagar, Mar 17: The Counter Intelligence Kashmir raided a hotel in the Lal Chowk area of Srinagar on Wednesday and recovered around 1 kilogram of heroin worth crores from two persons of Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Sources told the local news agency that a team of CIK headed by DySP headquarter CIK raided Hotel International in Lal Chowk and recovered 998 grams of heroin from the possession of two persons.
They said that heroin was recovered from two persons identified as Zameer Ahmed Mongryal son Khursheed Ahmed Mongryal and Sajad Ahmed son of Ghulam Rasool—both residents of Uri.
Sources said that the duo has been arrested and further investigation has been going on into the matter.
