Cattle theft on rise in Anantnag District

Anantnag,05 Nov:  Following growing incidents of cattle theft in different villages of  Anantnag District, the villagers  of these areas have expressed their concern over the increasing incidents of cattle theft and demanded  authorities to take appropriate measures  to nab  the culprits involved in cattle rustling.

According to eyewitnesses,” the thieves in these villages  are creating panic among locals’. ”The thieves have stolen at least 6 cows along with their calf in  wanihama area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district,added locals.”

According to sources the  thieves on the intervening night of Sunday struck in the village of wanihama check and managed to steal six cows along with one calf.

The cattle  belongs to Bashir Ahmad Malik and Ali Mohd sheikh both residents of Wanihama check.
