Bukhari pays tributes to Syed Ghulam Rasool Gayoor on his anniversary
Srinagar, Oct 21 : Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Thursday paid tributes to Syed Ghulam Rasool Gayoor on his 16th death anniversary, which is being observed tomorrow.
He is also the father of Apni Party Leader and Coordinator South Kashmir Syed Showkat Gayoor Andrabi.
In a statement issued here Bukhari described Syed Ghulam Rasool Gayoor Andrabi as a renowned scholar, educationist and a philanthropist.
“Late Gayoor was a multifaceted personality whose proficiency as a noted writer, poet & a journalist was thoroughly acknowledged by all. He was also a veteran social activist who was posthumously awarded with the title of Saut-i-Kashmir, The Voice of Kashmir,” he remarked.
Bukhari said that unfortunately this noble voice was silenced by unknown gunmen on 22nd of October 2005 at his native village Ratnipora Pulwama but his legacy still continues to live on through his immense contributions in various fields.
Furthermore, Apni Party leadership unanimously lauded his efforts and great contributions besides praying for eternal peace to his departed soul.
