Body riddled with bullets, recovered in Pulwama:Deceased identified as brother of active HM militant
A bullet riddled body of a youth was recovered from an orchid in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday morning.
A police official said that the body was recovered from Naira village, around three kilometers from Pulwama town.
The slain has been identified as Zahoor Ahmad Sheikh (25) Son of Ghulam Ahmad Sheikh and according to his family , Zahoor was killed allegedly by security forces.
While giving details the locals said that the deceased was returning from the mosque when he was heard saying that the army had cordoned the village .In the meantime, few gunshots were heard,later his body was recovered from the spot, detailed locals.The deceased has been identified as a brother of an active militant of Hizbul Mujahideen. According to reports,police has registered a case and started the investigations.
Officials said that Ahmad was the brother of an active Hizbul Mujahidin militant Irfan Ahmad.
Meanwhile,widespread protests erupted in Pulwama following the incident ,protestors were demanding stern punishment to the murderers of the innocent youth killed by unidentified gunmen in the district. People marched towards Deputy Commissioner’s office Pulwama seeking punishment to those who killed Zahoor in cold-blooded murder.
