BJP to Hold Key Strategy Meeting Ahead of J&K Election Results
Jammu, Oct 05: As the vote counting for the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections approaches on October 08, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has scheduled a crucial strategy meeting in New Delhi to plan for the formation of the next government in the region.
According to sources, the BJP high command has summoned 13 senior leaders from its J&K unit for the meeting, which will be chaired by party president and Union Minister J P Nadda. The session is set to take place tomorrow.
Key attendees will include BJP’s election in-charge and Union Minister G. Krishna Reddy, Ram Madhav, J&K Prabhari Tarun Chugh, Seh Prabhari Ashish Sood, J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina, Working President Sat Sharma, and four General Secretaries from the J&K BJP unit: Ashok Koul (General Secretary Organisation), Dr Devender Manyal, Sunil Sharma, and Vibodh Gupta. Additionally, two former Deputy Chief Ministers, Kavinder Gupta and Dr Nirmal Singh, along with Darakhshan Andrabi and Devender Rana, are expected to participate.
The meeting’s agenda will focus on assessing feedback from the Assembly elections and devising strategies to form a government in J&K post-results. Sources also revealed that discussions will likely revolve around potential alliances with independent candidates who may secure victories in certain constituencies.
Ram Madhav, who played a pivotal role in the formation of the previous BJP-PDP government, has reportedly been assigned to a ‘Kashmir Mission’ and is in contact with various parties to explore alliance options.
