Bhatnoor residents in Tral demand reinstatement of doctor in New Type Health-Centre

Tral, 24 Oct: The residents of Bhatnoor and its adjoining villages in Tral sub district of Southern Kashmir are up in arms against the transfer of the lone doctor from the existing health centre of the area.
”It was only after the strenous efforts of the villagers that a doctor was appointed in the New Type Primary Health Centre (NTPHC) of the village”,stated aggrieved locals of the area. ”However, the jubilation didn’t last longer as the doctor was soon transferred , they added .
They said that posting of the doctor in the health centre was a welcome step that was appreciated by the villagers.
The locals stated that its a double whammy for the villagers who visit this sub centre in order to get treated, varying from minor to major medical needs. Mohammad Akbar Dar, a local told Arising State that they were happy & contended that finally their long pending wish was fulfilled after a doctor was appointed in NTPHC.
Pertinently, the sub-centre which was constructed with the amount of 174.00 lacs. caters to the medical needs of all the nearby areas like Karmulla, Basmai, Nogdi, Shitlan and Gujjar Basti.
“By removing doctor has only added to the woes of the villagers’ blamed locals. They demanded immediate reinstatement of the doctor in the area .
Speaking to Arising State ,Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Tral, SA Raina, said that appointment of doctor in Bhatnoor and Batagund NTPHCs of Tral is their priority and will be done in a shortest period of time.
