Better Hope NGO held free medical camp at Pattan
Baramulla, May 8: Two-day free medical camp has been organised by Better Hope NGO in collaboration with the Sadanah Foundation and Fatima Old-age Home at Habag Tangoo, Pattan, J&K, on 7th and 8th May 2022.
The camp was inaugurated by Tehsildar Pattan and SHO Magam, while the free services in the camp include: -Sugar Test and ECG facility
-Consultation services: General Physician, Orthopaedic, Ophthalmologist, Gynaecologist, Nutritionist and Gastroenterologist
-Menstrual Hygiene Kits (six good quality sanitary napkins, one hygiene wash and Lactoserum)
– Free medicines
The two day medical camp witnessed 1250 patients, including women and elderly people, to avail benefits of free services. In total, 795 menstrual hygiene kits were distributed.
Aqib Majid Dar, General Secretary of the Better Hope NGO said that the aim of conducting these camps is to provide healthcare services to the much needy population of Kashmir residing in far-flung areas where the locals have little to no access to education and healthcare facilities.
A large number of elderly men and women took part in the free medical camp to take advantage of the facilities provided by the Better Hope NGO.
The people of the area and SHO Magam & Tehsildar Pattan appreciated the efforts and requested to continue organising medical camps.
The general public of the area said that such free medical camps should be held regularly.
