Awareness Rally at Govt Degree College Tral

Tral: An awareness rally regarding empowerment of women was organized by Women Development Cell of the college on 9th May, 2023 to commemorate the 250th birth anniversary of Raja Ram Mohan Roy, father of Modern India and also to celebrate G20 presidency of India.

The rally was flagged off by incharge Principal, Dr. Shakeel Ahmad Khanday who in his speech reiterated the need to empower women on different grounds for healthy and successful development of societies.

Prof. Syeda Laila Khalid (Department of English )in her address urged upon the students to actively participate in such programmes, so that they become the source and medium of propagating this message to make aware the society especially women about women empowerment and promoting women’s sense of self worth and their right to influence social change for themselves and others.

Prof. Feroza Majeed (Department of Urdu) also in her speech threw light on the contribution of women in diverse fields and also stressed upon them to continue to work hard to always contribute in a positive manner.

Students along with faculty members actively participated in the rally, displaying placards. Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr.Fehmida Wani (Department of History).
