Awantipora Police Distributes COVID-19 Containment Safety Kits Among Families Living Below Poverty Line
Awantipora 27: Continuing its efforts to reach out to the needy people, Awantipora police distributed COVID-19 safety kits among 117 poor and needy families of the Awantipora area in the second phase under the Civic Action Programme of the Jammu & Kashmir Police Department.
During the distribution function held at police station Awantipora, SSP Awantipora Shri Tahir Saleem -JKPS was present along with SDPO Awantipora, Dy.SP Awantipora & SHO Awantipora.
Each distributed Covid-19 containment kit consists of 01 steam vaporizer, 02 face shield, 100 surgical masks, 01 Oximeter, 01 digital thermometers, 01 sanitizer bottle (500 ml) , 01 Box hand gloves, 01 hand wash, and other essential items for Covid control among the poor and needy families falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Awantipora.
On the occasion, SSP Awantipora said that there is a need for sensitizing the society of its responsibilities towards COVID-19 particularly the needy and poor families.
He added that police are always there for any help for the poor and needy people, & the 3 rd phase of distribution of covid containment kits shall be held in the Tral area of Police District Awantipora.
