At least 17 injured in Shopian clashes, pellet injury cases referred to Srinagar

At least 17 people   were injured in clashes with the security forces near the encounter site in Adkhara village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday.

According to reports , three people hit by pellets were referred to a hospital in Srinagar for specialised treatment.

Earlier, the killing of three militants during a gunfight with the security forces prompted incidents of violence in Adkhara.

An official said the security forces called off the operation following the killing of three militants.
