Arising State Impact : 6 kanals of State Land retrieved at Pahalgam

Anantnag,17 May : Taking cognizance of a story by Arising State on “State land illegally encroached by local hoteliers, authorities unmoved” in Mavoora, Pahalgam, the officials here retrieved 6 Kanals of land from the erring hoteliers besides warned them not to indulge in such illegal activities in future.
A team of Revenue and PDA department under the supervision of Tehsildar Sallar launched an anti encroachment drive at south Kashmir’s Mavoora, Pahalgam area and retrieved about 6 Kanals of state land from the hoteliers ,who have illegally encroached the said land thereby destroying the recently built walls on it.
According to official sources on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Anantnag an anti-encroachment drive was launched on Monday morning in the Mavoora Pahalgam area, under the supervision of Tehsildar Sallar Shakeel Ahmad , SHO Pahalgam and PDA employees present at the time of demolition drive.
Sources said that during the demolition drive at Mavoora Pahalgam at least 6 kanals of state land was retrieved from the encroachers, added that the encroachers had illegally built walls on the state land which have been demolished by the authorities, he said
Meanwhile, talking to Arising state Tehsildar Sallar said that the anti-encroachment drive shall continue in future also and the encroachers have been asked to remove the encroachments voluntarily to avoid any kind of administrative action.
