Anantnag: Government run Pareesha Child Care Institute lacks basic facilities

The childcare lacks tutor, medical facilty and cook, resulting in problems facing by enrolled childrens

Anantnag: A Lone Government run Pareesha child care institute is lacking basic facilities here in South Kashmir’s area of Anantnag district, which resulting in problems to enrolled children in the said institute.

Official sources talking to Arising State said that the pareesha child care institute located in the Bonadialgam area in south kashmirs Anantnag district lacks the basic facilities including the medical facilities, tutor, cook etc resulting to face the problems of children enrolled in the child-care institution.

The cook were hired by the officials as the government has failed to recruit their own cook in the child care institution, sources said.

The enrolled children have no medical facility if anyone falls ill there, she has to be shifted to the GMC Anantnag, sources further said. “The child care institute also lacks the tutor who could teach the children as the government has failed to recruit their own in the child care institution,” they added.

Reports said that the Superintendent of the child care institute is managing all the mess alone without any assistance from the administration from the last one and a half year, while a full time vehicle along with driver is desparately needed for ferrying the sick girls to hospital or at least to their home.

However, talking to Arising State, District social welfare officer Anantnag Muzafar Ahmad said that we have sent a requisition of vacant posts to the higher authorities and asked them for providing the staff to the child care institution in District Anantnag.

“We have already conveyed to higher authorities and hopefully very soon the vacant posts will be fulfilled, he said.

Meanwhile, Mission Director ICPS, Harvinder Kour told Arising State that, “I will speak to the concern District officer Anantnag and will look into the matter.”
