Administration Under LG Manoj Sinha Commends Officials for Successfully Completing Nearly 200,000 Projects Over the Past Four Years
Srinagar, Nov 06 :The Jammu and Kashmir Government, under the leadership of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, has lauded the dedicated efforts of its officials for successfully accomplishing approximately two hundred thousand projects over the past four years.During a recent meeting in Srinagar, LG Manoj Sinha expressed his admiration for the officials’ relentless work and emphasized that their unwavering commitment to these initiatives has made a significant and lasting impact on the development landscape of the Union Territory.”
“The completion of approximately 2 lakh projects is a testament to the dedication and resilience of our officials. Their efforts have positively impacted the lives of countless citizens and reflect the government’s steadfast commitment to the welfare and progress of the Union territory,” the official, while quoting LG Manoj Sinha, said.
He said that these projects have substantially improved various aspects of daily life for citizens. “The construction of new roads, bridges, and infrastructure has significantly enhanced connectivity, reducing travel times and improving access to remote areas. Additionally, vital healthcare and educational institutions have been established, increasing access to quality services and educational opportunities,” .
It is worth mentioning here that the government has recently said that over the course of four years since the transition of Jammu and Kashmir into a Union Territory, a staggering number of nearly 2 lakh development projects have been successfully completed, marking a significant milestone in the region’s progress and transformation, officials informed.
One of the top officials in the government said that the projects undertaken during this period have been instrumental in bringing about positive change, improving the standard of living, and fostering economic development in the region.
“These initiatives have touched the lives of millions of residents and are a testament to the government’s commitment to the welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
Elaborating the details, the officials said that the construction of new roads, bridges, and tunnels has significantly improved connectivity within the region. The Zojila Tunnel, the world’s longest bi-directional tunnel, is one such project that has reduced travel time and improved access to Ladakh.
“The Union Territory administration has focused on education and skill development, with the establishment of numerous schools, colleges, and vocational training centers. This has enabled the youth to acquire the necessary skills for better job opportunities. The healthcare sector has witnessed a significant boost with the establishment of new hospitals, healthcare centers, and the recruitment of medical professionals. These developments have enhanced healthcare services and made quality healthcare more accessible,” they said.
The natural beauty and cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir have been promoted extensively. Initiatives like ‘Khelo India’ and ‘J&K Tourism Policy’ have attracted tourists, boosting the local economy.
“Various agricultural reforms have been implemented to enhance productivity and income for farmers. Schemes such as ‘PM-Kisan’ have provided financial support to agricultural communities.
The region’s digital infrastructure has seen a significant upgrade, with the expansion of high-speed internet services. This has not only connected people with the world but also facilitated e-governance and digital literacy”.
The residents of Jammu and Kashmir have expressed their gratitude for the government’s proactive measures. Many see these completed projects as a source of hope and a brighter future for the region.
Local leaders and activists have lauded the progress but also emphasized the need for continued efforts to address issues related to unemployment and regional disparities.
