ADC Tral inaugurates Pulse Polio Day in TRAL Tral 27 Feb: Additional Deputy Commissioner Tral on Sunday kickstarted PULSE POLIO DAY in Sub District Hospital Tral. The national intensified pulse polio campaign, aimed at administering polio oral drops to over 24526 children aged up to five years in SD Tral at 136 Centres
The intensified campaign, rolled between 8 am and 5 pm, today administered at 136 government healthcare facilities apart from Aanganwadi centres, government schools,PHCs.
To ensure the pulse polio vaccination drive a success, Addl Dy Commr said that, the health department in coordination with municipal committee and Panchayat officials and establish mobile teams, Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANMs) and over Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA) workers to implement the intensified pulse polio drive.
“To cover children who missed out on the first day of the drive, a mop up exercise with field level workers personally visiting house to house, poor areas, etc to vaccinate children belonging to the transient demography, be held.”
Addl Dy Commr urged parents to ensure their children are administered the polio drops and make the vaccination drive a success.
He urged public representatives to personally participate in the pulse polio vaccination drive, which will go a long way in encouraging parents to turn up at the vaccine booths along with their children.
