Cricket tournament ‘South Kashmir Police Premier League’ concludes in Anantnag

Anantnag,12 Nov : To boost the Sports activities in Distt Anantnag and to inculcate the sports spirit among the youth Anantnag Police had organised South Kashmir Police premier League 2020 which started on 22nd of October 2020 and Concluded today at GDC grounds Anantnag. The concluding function/ Prize distribution was attended by DGP JandK along DIGP South Kashmir DIG CRPF , DC Anantnag SSP Anantnag and other Police officers of Distt. Cricketer Pervaiz Rasool as well as some Prominent Citizens of Anantnag were also part of the Concluding function. A total Number of 16 cricket teams from all four districts of South Kashmir have participated in the tournament.
The final was played between Anantnag Superkings and Anantnag Gladiators at GDC ground Anantnag. After a nail-biting contest, Anantnag Gladiators emerged victorious. DGP J&K Shri Dilbagh Singh distributed cash prizes/ trophies to the winner and runner up teams. After the culmination of the presentation ceremony, while interacting with the participants, the DGP J&K expressed immense happiness with the sports activities being conducted in the district from time to time. He promised that many more such tournaments would be organised in future also and JKP would make all the efforts it can , in encouraging the sports talent of the District and the UT. On the occasion SSP, Anantnag , Sandeep Chaudhary thanked the DGP for encouraging the youth of the district and said that this gesture would go a long way in nurturing a culture of sports in the district.
