27 candidates of PAGD files nomination papers for DDC polls
People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) on Thursday disclosed 27 candidates who filed their nomination papers for phase first in upcoming DDC polls.
According to reports, the PAGD, an amalgam of seven mainstream political parties has fielded 27 candidates from three parties including National Conference, People’s Democratic Party and People’s Conference.
The data provided by the list issued by PAGD after hectic deliberations, named 21 candidates belong to National Conference while four are from the People’s Democratic Party and two from the People’s Conference.
PAGD spokesman Sajad Gani Lone earlier in a tweet informed that all the candidates approved have filed their nomination papers.
“PAGD candidates approved for the first phase have already filed their papers. The list was conveyed to the parties. I am tweeting this in response to some media reports of the list not having been issued yet,” Lone tweeted.
Notably, the PAGD, an amalgam of six mainstream political parties including NC, PDP, CPM, CPI, ANC and JKPM had decided to contest the upcoming DDC polls, Panchayat, and Municipal by-elections jointly in order to stop divisive forces from making inroads in J&K.
