Army Officer, Two Troopers, Two Militants Killed in Machil

An army officer, two other soldiers and two militant were killed in the ongoing gunfight along the Line of Control in Machil sector of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Earlier an official said that Suspicious move of unidentified persons detected by own patrolling party near LC fence at Machil Sector on night 7/8 Nov 2020 at 0100h.

Militants trying to infiltrate intercepted by own troops; contact was established. One militant was killed and one AK & Two bags recovered.

According to reports the death toll has so far reached six in the fierce gun battle as a militant and a BSF trooper were killed earlier.

An official said that the gunfight in the area is going on and said theee Army men, 1 BSF personnel and two militants were killed in the encounter and the searches in the area is going on
