19 RR organized village mela in Gadole Kokernag

Anantnag: 19 RR of Indian Army on Thursday organized a village Mela in the Gadole area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag District.
The Village Mela witnessed a huge rush of people from several villages of the kokernag area with unprecedented participation of the youth who eagerly took the responsibility of making it a grand and successful event, sources said.
Sources said that the village Mela encompassed a variety of games that enthralled everyone. A number of competitions were organized for the youth and school children like the cricket and volleyball tournaments, etc.
All the events were organized by 19 RR of the Indian Army with enthusiastic participation from the team of locals.
19 RR commandant officer Darminder Yadav was the Chief Guest and later awarded the winners of tournaments and sports activities during the closing ceremony. During the ceremony, the commandant officer said that we are providing these kinds of platforms to youth to showcase their talent in sports and other fields while following COVID-19 protocols. He said that we will organize these meals in the future also so that talented people get the opportunity to show their talent in programs,he said.
