RASTRIYA EKTA DEWAS CELEBRATED BY AWANTIPORA POLICE

Awantipora: Police Awantipora celebrated “Rashtriya Ekta Dewas/National Unity Day” at DPL Awantipora with the active participation of the Public. The parade of “Rashtriya Ekta Dewas” consisted of the contingents of CRPF/SSB/J&K Police/ Armed Police & SDRF who took the pledge for Unity, Integrity, and Security of the Nation as well as dedicating themselves for the Unification of the Country.

SSP Awantipora Tahir Saleem-JKPS took the salute on Parade and read out the pledge during which all SDPOs, SHOs and DySP DAR were present on parade. He also highlighted the vision, dedication and role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in uniting the princely states and making it as present Independent India. SSP asked the men under his command to contribute in their own capacity for the integrity and security of the Nation.

The pledge ceremony was followed by March Past by the contingents on the parade.

After the Parade, an event “Run for Unity” was organized and flagged off by SSP Awantipora in which more than 102 persons including civilians participated.

The “Run for Unity” started from DPL Awantipora Crossing to Y junction Barsoo and back to DPL consisting of about 03/04 kilometers distance.

The “ Run for Unity” event was followed by prize distribution and refreshment was served to all the participants.
