JKRCEA urges LG to stop atrocities against SC/ST Employees

Retired, Socio-religious, Women and Youth Wing of JKRCEA in a joint press conference urged upon LG of JK UT to intervene and direct bureaucratic system of J&K to stop calculative atrocities on SCST employees and also take adequate steps to control caste and religion based unrest and atrocities which are on rise since last few years in J&K taking the pattern of UP, Bihar and other parts of the country. It looks if abrogation of Article 370 has given a space for these happenings.   LG being direct representative of Sh. Narendra Modi led government in centre should chalk out a strategy to make Hon’ble PM’s slogans as reality, “Mere Dalit Bhaioun koo nahi Mujye Goli Maar Doo”, “Sab ka Sath-Sab ka Vikas-Sab ka Vishwas”Mohinder Bhagat, (Working General Secretary of JKRCEA) while expressing his view said that bureaucrats led by Chief Secretary have totally sabotaged the issue of ‘Reservation in Promotions’ in spite of it being protected through ‘J&K Reorganization Act 2019’ and extension of whole Constitution of India to J&K UT. They are neither implementing the Constitution as a whole in J&K UT nor are submitting objections in the Supreme Court for final disposal of the case of reservation in Supreme Court. A strong anti-SCST lobby is working in the administration on dictates of upper caste employees as well as the right wing forces to harm SCSTOBCs. If the same state of affairs continue these communities shall be compelled to give a befitting reply to a particular political party in the near future. He said that the harassment of SCST employees is at peak at work places also.  Few of the HoDs were illegally removed from their respective posts, Dr. Bharat Bushan KAS and Dr. Deepak Kumar was suspended on flimsy grounds, the only SC Principal of GMC in last 50 years who was unceremoniously removed from the chair of Principal are few of the examples. He said that CS and FC Health are both anti SCST.

Prof. G.L. Thapa (Working President of JKRCEA) while addressing the media said that harassment against employees and common man of SCSTOBC and Religious Minorities have become a day today affair in J&K UT and it looks if JK UT is going to be another UP or Bihar like society. Before abrogation of article 370, these communities were a little bit protected under the shadow of being Muslim majority state but abrogation of article 370 has caused more harm to these communities. He said that few casteist upper caste one man organizations and even few BJP politicians deliberately targeted PMC Jammu who was working day and night to set the things right in GMC Jammu. LG before removing him as Principal GMC Jammu should have given a thought to all this conspiracy and should have also taken report of these two politicians and their style of working in the past as land grabbing and corruption was rampant in J&K during their ministerial tenure.

Sham Lal Basson, (Member Presidium of JKRCEA) said that if BJPRSS wants to make their slogan of Hindutava reality, they should bring it practically on ground, otherwise SCOBCs will destroy this slogan by mass conversion into Islam, Sikhism or Buddhism. He said that the incidences of harassment of Smt. Kamlesh Kumari, SC Sarpanch Pochhal A-2 (Kishtwar) by BDC Chairman Kishtwar one Suresh Sharma, harassment of another SC Sarpanch, Smt. Lalita Devi from Shiva (Doda) by upper caste panches/locals as well as harassment of Sh. Bishan Dass of village Bain (Bajalta) by Brahmin goons, are some live examples in recent past. Majority of them were working for BJP but they were targeted by the goons and supporting officers of same party. If LG government fails to control this all, we shall be fighting it all on roads. We will teach BJPRSS lesson on political and social fronts, if they do not control their cadre and direct them to mend their ways. He further targeted BJP SC Morcha as well as OBC Morcha leaders who are not at all worried about plight of their own communities and are rather working as Stooges of their political bosses. He warned them to mend their ways otherwise they shall be taught a good lesson. In the end it was unanimously resolved and requested to the LG of JK UT that instead of toeing with the lines of bureaucracy, he being a seasoned politician must act as a Constitutional Head of JK UT and should ensure immediate implementation of ‘Reservation in Promotions’ as the undue delay and willfully wrong tactics of bureaucracy led by CS and Law Secretary has caused huge loss to SCST employees and we are not ready to accept any further loss. If atrocities on SCST employees on official fronts are not stopped and if reservation in Promotions is not restored these communities shall hold a ‘MAHARALLY’ in Jammu on 21st November 2020 and shall launch a movement of Mass Conversion as well as launch a movement for Abrogation of Political Reservation for SCs. Immediate revocation of suspension of Dr  Deepak Kumar and Dr. Bharat Bushan, KAS was demanded from the LG. It was also requested to LG JK UT to give personal hearing to the delegation of SCST intellectuals.
