Former Minister raises various burning issues confronting people of J&K

Dr Sharma today said that Statehood to Jammu and Kashmir should be restored with full protection of Job and land rights. Demotion of JK from State to UT is widely criticized on National to international platforms.  Today again pitched for statehood for Jammu in order to remove regional discrimination. Dr Sharma lambasted local BJP leadership for cheating the nationalist people of Jammu. He further questioned that Why BJP leadership of Jammu is keeping mum on J&k being converted to UT from a state and further said that they played hand in gloves with center to  J&K an UT and further  to hide their failure to fulfill their promise  of providing statehood to Jammu  they are deviating the common masses . Dr Sharma further said even during BJP-PDP government many   decision taken were anti-youth, anti-jammu but none of the 25 MLA from BJP raised their voices against discrimination with area .He further said it feels pain to see that J&K has been degraded to an UT from a state and also said that this is for the first time that a state has been converted to UT where as in general cases an UT is converted to a state.He said  Recently MHARD order no:3654 (E)of 2020 which is totally against the basic spirit of panchayat raj act and 73rd and 74th amendment of Constitution of India. It violates four things of the above mentioned act. Bypassing the Block development council and its chairperson, duly elected by the BDC elections happened recently.No role has been defined in the proposed District development council, which is visa viz No voting rights to elect chairman and vice chairman of DDC. As mentioned in the act 20% percent of the allocated funds will go directly to DDC and 80 percent will be in the hands of Panchayats and no funds will be available to Block Development Council. It weakens the grass root level democratically panchayat raj institution in rural areas as well as Urban Local Bodies.

In proposed act separate development committee in urban areas will be headed by the Member Parliament of that constituency. It is important to mention that MP is already overburdened by already assigned duties and moreover it also gives control of the Elected Urban Municipal Councils and committees to the appointed MP. Therefore it violates the basic principles of the act whose sole purpose is decentralization of power in grass root levels of local self-government and also affects the autonomous character of Panchayati Raj Act and urban Local Bodies Act. Appointment of Additional Deputy Commissioner as the CEO of DDC and other constituent of Districts, itself shows government is not much interested in strengthening the institutions and rather wants to make it as a Body with weak heads.Regularization of daily Wagers working in different  government departments under SRO-64: Sixty two Thousand (62000) daily wagers working in different government departments like  PHE, PDD, PWD, Rural Development, Irrigation and flood control And forest, fisheries. They are agitating since long, but present BJP govt and LG Administration has completely failed to regularize these daily wagers and to pay any attention to the difficulties faced by these workers. They are even not getting Regular Salary under the present regime.

From last Seven years they have completely failed to provide any substantial relief and rather have been doing false promises. Firstly they promised regularization under SRO-520, but nothing has happened yet. By Doing false promises, they have failed in every front and have been playing with the life of these people and have made complete mockery of them.

We demand Regularization of all daily wagers under SRO-64 and also demand the regularization of Adhoc and contractual employees with immediate effect.By passing the three agriculture bills, BJP have directly attacked the farmers of our country. Once again they have proved their agenda of taking power from the common man and giving it to their three or four Big Business Alliance partners. We welcome the law passed in Punjab Govt under Capt. Amrinder Singh and we request other states to follow this exemplary stand taken by Punjab. We whole heartedly stand with farmers of our Nation and request GOI to withdraw all these bills which are Anti Farmer and Anti India. We also demand Constitutional guarantee of MSP for Farmers and Increase in APMCS in every nook and corner of INDIA and further improvement in Mandi System.It is a matter of great concern that the selection list of fire services is not seem to be fair. Both jammu and kashmiries have raised their voices against the selection list and it seems that selection list has been created to favor few. We demand the cancelation of this list and further demand a probe for time bound investigation and fair and transparent selection process should be made.It is very unfortunate that the present BJP and LG Administration has completely failed in Managing the Covid-19 pandemic. Situation in the state in general and particularly in Lakhanpur is very mismanaged. This proves that the GOJK under LG Administration is not even following the norms put aside by GOI and are not even interested to start inter-state movement. They are harassing and humiliating the travelers as well as residents of JK coming from other states in Lakhanpur. It looks like that govt is imposing restrictions like the conditions before 1953, where one has to take the permit before entering  J&K. This also shows how keen government is to unite J&K with INDIA after Reorganization of state into UT. We the Congress Party Demand complete lifting of all restrictions imposed by UT of J&K at Lakhanpur.BJP government established three Toll Plaza within a distance of  110kms.This is against the guidelines of NHAI to establish three toll plazas in Lakhanpur, Sarore and Ban. Our economy has already suffered a huge blow because of Covid-19 and Lockdown and most of the people are suffering in present circumstances. But this LG Administration instead of giving reliefs in these struggling times is head bent to collect revenue from poor and struggling people in every way possible. The creations of these toll plazas also hurt the religious sentiments of Yatris coming to visit Holy shrine of Mata vaishno Devi and Baba Amarnath. We oppose the creation of these Toll plazas and demand that they should be removed immediately in the interest of people of Jammu and Kashmir.It is also important to mention that Lockdown has been imposed by Government of India and people suffered huge losses because of that. Every person be it a businessman or an individual doing a job suffered because of this. Now if Govt is telling us to shut shops, who will be responsible for the losses. Government should at least take relevant step to put money in the hands of the masses, but rather the govt is hell-bent to put money in the hands of the classes (adani and Ambani’s).
