Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad Took Over as Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST-Kashmir

In pursuance to Order No GS – 4 (Appt – VC) AUK/15/Part – 1/9588; dated 22-10-2020 issued by Additional Secretary, Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat, Jammu and Kashmir, Prof Mushtaq Ahmad, Director Extension, Director SAMETI – Kashmir with an additional charge of Director Research took over as the Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST – Kashmir in the afternoon of October 22, 2020.
Prof. Ahmad joined the University in 1983. During his illustrious career he has served the University in different capacities as Head Division of Plant Pathology; Dean Faculty of Agriculture; Dean Faculty of Forestry and Registrar SKUAST – Kashmir. He has guided more than 40 doctoral and masters’ students. Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad has supervised more than 20 externally funded projects.
On his joining Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad was greeted by all teaching and non-teaching staff of the University, who assured him full cooperation in taking the University to newer heights. Prof. Mushtaq while thanking the gathering assured of furthering the Research, Extension and Academic pursuits of the University.
