Director General of police (DGP) Dilbag Singh visits family of cop killed in Bijbehara

Anantnag ,20 October : Director General of police (DGP) Dilbag Singh on Tuesday visited the family of a police man in Sunpora kanelwan Bijbehara area of Anantnag District, who was shot dead by terrorists as per police statement.
Official sources said that Dilbag Sing offered his condolences to Mohd Ashraf’s family members and prayed for the departed soul.
41-year-old Mohd Ashraf was killed yesterday evening at his native village at sunpora Kanelwan Bijbehara when he was returning home after offering prayers. The cop was shifted to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead.The cop was posted at pulwama police station official sources added.
Emotional scenes were witnessed during the DGP’s visit to the cops’s family and the mood of the people was somber. A large number of people had also gathered at the residence of the deceased cop sources said.
The DG, accompanied by several other senior police officials including` IG Kashmir vijay Kumar, SSP Anantnag Sandeep choudary, visited the home of deceased inspector Mohd Ashraf at Sunpora Bijbehara in Anantnag District.
